We are invitingExpressions of Interest foraContracts Managerforupcomingcontractsacross ourDefenceprograms. Focusing onservicessustainmentandacquisitionyoullbe involved incontracts and programsthat enhanceCAEs partin deliveringexcellence to ourDefencecustomers.

Role isbased inSydney NSW

The roleis responsible fortheContractManagementGovernance and Control processes includingconfiguration management of the Contract and related Contract Data and Requirements List (CDRL)itemsarecomplied with.

The Contract Manager is akeypersonfor the Customerscontracts teamand is the first to address and resolve contractual issues including disputes interpretation flow-down requirements to subcontractorsidentifyingand mitigating commercial risks meeting contractual requirements and the management of formal correspondence.

The Contracts Manager is also responsible for development of Contract Change Proposals and ensuring Quotations are generatedin accordance withtheContract.Additionally the roleis responsible forsubcontractor and suppliermanagement andensuring CAEs export control obligations are met.

The role we offer you:

  • Support the Program Managersin theday to daymanagement of the Contract.

  • Manageandmaintainthe Document Management System includingtheconfiguration management of theContract

  • Own and manage the Contract Change Proposals and Survey & Quotes

  • Develop andadministerCDRL items

  • Subcontractor and supplier management

  • Manage insurance requirements supported by global risk management

  • Draftguideandrecommend actions tothe Program Manageras appropriate

  • Contribute to continuous improvement activities

Our ideal candidate has:

  • Minimum of 5yearsexperienceinContractManagement

  • Demonstratedexperience with the ASDEFCON suite of templates

  • Sound experience in commercial management

  • Proventrack recordin contract management within acomplex matrixproject environment.

  • Excellent communication drafting presentation and negotiation skills.

  • Ability to proactively problem solveandimplement practical solutionsfor thecustomerandthebusiness.

  • Experience working in Objective (ideal)

  • Legal or business discipline qualification or equivalent experience (ideal)

Security requirements

As the Australian Departmentof Defence is a major client you must be eligible for SECRET (NV1) level Defence security clearance and preferably already hold a current SECRET (NV1) clearance.
