Job Summary

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Courier Supervisor oversees daily courier and mailroom operations to ensure the timely secure and cost-effective delivery of materials across Trinity Health facilities. This role provides direct supervision and clear operational guidance to courier and mailroom staff coordinates routes and schedules and supports administrative functions that enable consistent reliable service delivery. Working closely with team members and internal stakeholders the Courier Supervisor fosters a collaborative service-oriented environment where accountability communication and shared responsibility are valued. This position supports efficiency and customer service while operating within a structured supportive leadership framework that emphasizes safety compliance and continuity of operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supervise daily courier and mailroom operations including route coordination workload distribution and service prioritization.

Provide direction support and performance oversight to courier and mailroom staff to ensure consistent service and adherence to procedures.

Review and approve timesheets and attendance records for courier and mailroom personnel in accordance with organizational guidelines.

Address service issues delivery concerns and customer inquiries to support timely resolution and customer satisfaction.

Prepare routine reports and operational documentation to support tracking communication and workflow improvement.

Coordinate scheduling meetings and communication activities for the supply chain team to support operational alignment.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Licenses & Certifications
    • Valid drivers license.
  • Education
    • High school diploma required; bachelors degree in Logistics Supply Chain Management or Business preferred.
  • Experience
    • Previous supervisory experience in logistics transportation or delivery services desired.
  • Skills
    • Strong leadership organizational problem-solving process improvement and communication skills; ability to work under pressure; proficiency with Microsoft Suite applications.
    • Experience generating reports/dashboards and developing presentations preferred.
    • Ability to respond to urgent needs and work collaboratively.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

The Courier Supervisor frequently performs a combination of office-based work and on-site operational oversight. The role requires standing walking bending and occasional lifting or carrying of packages mail or supplies while observing courier activities. Adequate vision hearing and communication abilities are required to safely oversee operations use computer systems and interact with staff and customers.

ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

This position operates within healthcare facilities mailrooms loading docks and vehicle staging areas with regular exposure to delivery traffic varying noise levels and equipment movement. The role may involve outdoor travel between facilities and exposure to changing weather conditions while supporting courier operations. Adherence to safety protocols infection prevention practices and organizational policies is always required.
