The Senior Manager of the APAC Technology Regulatory Compliance team is responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of the APAC Technology Regulatory Compliance team. You will report to the International Head of Regulatory Technology Oversight and be part of a resolute and outstanding team that focuses on ensuring timeliness and accuracy in our responses to our APAC regulators. As part of the Northern Trust focus on risk mitigation the team also promote control awareness and the effective management of risks within the global information technology organization. The focus of the team is initially on the APAC regulatory environment and work closely with the EMEA team to create a single Technology Regulatory Compliance team supporting both regions.

Responsibilities

Day to day management of the APAC Technology Regulatory Compliance team to support regional technology control activities (including Risk and Control Self-Assessments) regulatory compliance and response activities across APAC regions.

Stakeholder management both locally and globally Manage the governance packs compliance reports/dashboards and metrics for senior leadership in the APAC region.

Coordinate both internal and external audit engagements for regulatory compliance. This would include RITS MAS APRA etc.

Run the quarterly service reviews with Australia reporting on the technology Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and Key Risk Indicators (KRI) against our technology thresholds.

Using automation and analytics develop simple and low touch technology risk reporting.

Manage technology regulatory compliance operations to ensure adequate reporting and timely response to regulatory exams in the APAC region all legal entities including Australia Singapore India China and others.

Influence behaviors to reduce risk and foster a strong technology risk management culture throughout the enterprise.

Always endeavor to think enterprise wide rather than just regionally.

Knowledge and Skills

In-depth understanding and experience of information security IT audit and /or IT risk management principles.

In-depth understanding of IT risk assessments and control testing.

Experience of GRC systems (e.g. ServiceNow) preferred.

Experience in automation and advanced data analytics especially risk analytics preferred.

Strong collaboration and relationship management skills including experiences in executive management relationship Innovative thinking and leadership with an ability to influence and motivate cross-functional interdisciplinary teams Highly flexible and adaptable to change technology forward thinking.

Employment Experience

A bachelors degree in Engineering Accounting Finance Information Technology Management Information Systems Computer Science or a related discipline.

At least 12 or more years of technology risk management control functions audit services experience or similar experience with transferable skills. Financial Services industry experience is a plus.

Certification in IT Security viz CEH / CLPTP / CISSP / CISM preferred
