Job Summary

TheService Advisor is the key liaison between customers and technicians ensuring high-quality automotive service and repairs. This position emphasizes both sales and customer service requiring collaborative teamwork to drive business growth while maintaining excellent customer relationships.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Address customer concerns by listening to description of symptoms; clarifying description of problems; checking vehicle maintenance records; examining service schedules
  • Verifies warranty and service contract coverage by examining records and papers; explaining provisions and exclusions
  • Develops estimates by costing materials supplies and labor; calculating customers payment including deductibles
  • Prepares repair orders (ROs) by describing symptoms problems and causes discovered as well as repairs and services required; obtaining approval signatures; entering RO into service database system
  • Communication liaison between the customer and the technician
  • Maintains customer rapport by explaining and prioritizing needed vehicle repairs and maintenance; managing customers expectations; obtaining customers approval of estimates; obtaining and providing contact information (phone numbers addresses email addresses); answering questions and concerns; arranging towing and temporary transportation
  • Maintains automotive records by recording problems and corrective actions planned
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading manufacturers publications
  • Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments

Requirements:

  • Service Advisors must have previous automotive Service Advisor experience
  • Require strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Required to be produce high sales levels while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Ability to understand and keep abreast of the federal state and local regulations that affect their operations
  • Valid Drivers License and clean driving record
  • Must consent to and pass a drug/background screen
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Enthusiasm strong communication skills positive attitude ambition work ethic professional conduct high integrity and dedication to personal improvement

  • Self-motivated
  • Ability to work evenings until 9:00 PM
  • Ability to work weekends as business needs dictate
