The MRB Coordinator manages the flow of nonâconforming materials to support production schedules and reduce inventory waste. This role expedites parts coordinates RMAs and maintains strong supplier relationships to ensure timely resolution of quality issues. By documenting NCMs generating scrap authorizations and monitoring material movement across departments the MRB Coordinator supports accurate inventory control supplier performance evaluation and achievement of MRB performance metrics.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Expedites materials components equipment and services from a variety of sources for the operation of the Material Review Board (MRB) to remedy shortage problems and minimize inventory waste.
- Contacts vendors for Return Material Authorization (RMA) numbers and dispatch parts to vendors.
- Maintains supplier relationships for best quality service at the best value.
- Documents and closes Non-Conforming Material (NCM) tickets for defective parts in a timely manner with accurate information; this data set is critical in evaluating supplier reliability.
- Generates scrap authorization forms for materials to be scrapped and obtain approval.
- Monitors the flow of materials and parts between departments in order to meet scheduled commitments and minimize inventory wastes.
- Maintains MRB KPIs

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Working knowledge of quick-turn engineer-to-order environment a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to read engineering drawings desired.
- Ability to build positive working relationships with suppliers and internal customers.
- Strong PC skills to include Microsoft Office software suites (Excel Word PowerPoint Access).
- Working knowledge of Visual or other ERP software desired.
Educational/Certification Requirement:
- AA degree in Supply Chain Management or related discipline preferred. Directly related experience may be considered.
- APICS/NAPM certification is a plus.
Work Experience:
- 3 years procurement and or planning experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Work Environment:

- Work is performed primarily in a standard office environment.
