Job Summary:

The person will be a key member of Cat Digitals Global Marketing & Brand organization driving the next generation of data-driven marketing at Caterpillar. This role will focus heavily on marketing data insights analytics and reporting to support marketing strategies in close partnership with Enterprise Marketing business units and teams in Cat Digital including Digital Marketing Enablement & Marketing Technology/Data.

The successful candidate will combine advanced technical skills with deep business acumen to transform complex Marketing & Digital Behavioral datasets such as GA4/Big Query Paid Media Social combined with Enterprise BI domain warehouses into actionable insights that improve business decision making digital properties strategies and performance. This position requires a technically sound analyst who can learn the business & marketing data flows quickly and tell data stories through designing visualization & reporting solutions that align with data quality and reporting standards.

What You Will Do:

• Partner with Enterprise marketing business units teams to translate business questions into technical data requirements and deliver flexible sustainable data products & solutions to support business partner marketing strategies and needs.

• Partner with Digital Marketing Product Enablement teams to provide comprehensive web analytics in support of web domain design strategies.

• Analyze and model complex multi-source datasets (Digital Behavioral Marketing Transactional and Master Domain) to uncover trends risks and opportunities.

• Support the migration and integration of Business Unit specific data into Marketing Reporting data hub through building automated data pipelines leveraging SQL Python and cloud data services (Snowflake preferred).

• Develop engaging actionable and visually compelling dashboards and reports using

• Tableau or Power BI that support business decision-making.

• Ensure global standardization in data quality reporting and user experience across the business.

• Collaborate with data engineers and scientists to integrate automation and AI-driven solutions to improve KPIs.

Requirements Analysis: Knowledge of tools methods and techniques of requirement analysis; ability to elicit analyze and record required business functionality and non-functionality requirements to ensure the success of a system or software development project.
Technical Writing/Documentation: Knowledge of technical writing; ability to write technical documents such as manuals reports guidelines or documents on standards processes and applications.
Product Design and Development: Knowledge of product features; ability to design build and develop a new product technology or service from concept through to production.

Consideration For Top Candidates:

• Business Data Analysis & Visualization: Highly skilled in using SQL Cloud Data Services (Big Query GA4 Snowflake) Data Visualization Platforms (Tableau Power BI Looker Studio) Python Office365. Familiarity with Data Science and AI solutions.

• Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision. Digital project management skills and familiarity with Agile development and supporting platforms (Azure DevOps Adobe Workfront).

• Familiarity with Salesforce CRMi Platform & Objects

• Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform Products

• Familiarity with Python Data Analysis and Science Libraries

• Previous experience with Web & App Analytics

• Effective Communications: Excellent oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with internal and external business partners including senior leaders. Excellent human relations skills to develop a collaborative environment with leadership and key stakeholders.

• Business Assessment: Knowledge of activities tasks practices and deliverables for assessing and documenting business opportunities; ability to assess the benefits risks and success factors of potential applications.
