The Boeing CompanyBoeing Defense Space and Security (BDS) is seeking an Experienced Mechanical & Structural Design Engineer to join the Air Dominance division in Hazelwood MO.

Position Responsibilities:
Support the development and documentation of mechanical and fluid system and thermal environment requirements to establish the system design
Support the development maintenance or modification of system component and installation designs/proposals to provide design documentation to downstream groups
Perform and document analyses to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications
Contribute to supplier development test and production activities and directs the supplier to optimize integration and achieve program goals
Support system components designs/proposals standards to provide installation and detail documentation
Train others
Work under general direction
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical Civil Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences)
5 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience
Experience working with Computer Aided Design (CAD) software such as Siemens NX CATIA SolidWorks or equivalent.
Experience with Fuel Hydraulic & ECS aircraft subsystems
Broad understanding of heat transfer concepts heat exchange components and/or air cycle systems
Able to summarize findings and develop conclusions documented with the Microsoft Office suite of software including Word Excel and PowerPoint
This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
This position requires ability to obtain Special Program Access for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship only.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience with pneumatic electro-mechanical or analog / digital control systems
Experience with troubleshooting fault isolation repair modification or redesign of mechanical components and systems
Successful candidates for this job must satisfy the Companys Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.
