Job Summary

As the Community Manager you will join the People Can Fly team contributing directly to its mission of creating sustainable and successful GaaS products. People Can Fly is seeking a passionate and experienced community manager to drive the growth engagement and success of the community for our upcoming GaaS title.

In this role you will craft and execute impactful strategies that foster a thriving player community enhance player engagement and address the unique challenges of managing live gaming environments.

You understand the critical role a positive and active community plays in a games success and are proactive in finding solutions to any obstacles. If you are a dedicated gaming enthusiast with the expertise to build vibrant communities from the ground up wed love to have you on board.

You will work closely with teams across marketing live services production and development. You will leverage your expertise in game community management to execute top-tier processes and activities. Key responsibilities include developing detailed plans aligned with key milestones creating and delivering community-focused content managing community-related assets and ensuring that player feedback is effectively integrated into game development and live service improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Assigns delegates and supports team members in their tasks ensuring alignment with the vision and creation of the games community content while monitoring and reviewing their progress.
  • Delivers constructive feedback and clear communication to enhance behaviors and performance fostering a culture of continuous improvement. 
  • Promotes a positive and inclusive team environment ensuring a healthy work-life balance by setting clear expectations and achievable scopes of work. Encourages team members to propose solutions voice their opinions and engage in decision-making. Utilizes tools like pulse surveys and satisfaction scores to gauge and improve team morale.
  • Collaborates seamlessly with Leads Directors other departments and project stakeholders building trust and aligning efforts with the projects goals and vision.
  • Implements and contributes to the Directors vision providing essential data raising concerns and ensuring alignment with project leadership.
  • Leads the execution of the community strategy for a PCF self-published game from ideation through delivery and facilitates post-mortems to identify lessons learned and drive future success.
  • Acts as a dedicated advocate for the product engaging with the community online and representing the game at events.
  • Drives player growth retention and satisfaction through targeted community engagement strategies achieving agreed-upon KPIs.
  • Regularly tests game builds to understand player pain points and develop expertise in the user experience.
  • Produces compelling community content including blogs posts and platform messages ensuring all communications are strategically aligned.
  • Develops and nurtures community evangelists collaborating with influencers as part of an overarching growth strategy.
  • Analyzes data and feedback trends to identify opportunities for improving community engagement and driving growth.
  • Plans and executes a comprehensive social media roadmap maintaining schedules and calendars to ensure timely content delivery.
  • Monitors and adapts to social media trends incorporating them into the games brand voice to maximize engagement.
  • Performs other relevant duties as required contributing flexibly to the success of the community team.

Qualifications :

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in community management.
  • Expertise across all social platforms online forums and community management tools.
  • Strong managerial skills and self-discipline with an understanding of what it takes to foster a thriving gaming community.
  • Excellent attention to detail especially in maintaining the tone and integrity of a games brand voice across all social platforms.
  • Works well in a fast-paced environment managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills including both written and verbal interactions with players and in creating materials that provide clear actionable direction to all stakeholders.
  • Fluent in English both written and verbal communication.
  • Passion for video games and a keen interest in staying up-to-date with industry trends.
