The Work

Treasury Risk and Capital Oversight(TRCO)is a risk division at EquitableBankthat overseesthe banks liquidity and funding riskmarketriskand securitizationriskat theconsolidatedbank teams other major mandate is to provide oversight to the banks capital management processInternal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process(ICAAP)andotherenterprise programs includingenterprise-wide stress testingenterprise recoveryplanningandtheregulatory Macro Stress Testing program.

The Core Responsibilities!

    • Assisting the programleadto ensure that the Bank satisfies OSFI requirements forstress testing in general andthe MST (Macro Stress Test) includingECL and RWA quantificationcompletion of MST schedules readiness of models and tools consensus on industry and economic outlooks and ensuring adherence to OSFIs instructions for the MST:
    • Assistingthe development of models (e.g. PPNR) connecting risk factors and stress scenarios.
    • Ensure the readiness of MST consolidation tools.
    • Provide analytical services tosupportthe MST andstress testing.

    • Providing inputs into the design of stress scenarios and forecasts for the Enterprise-Wide Stress Test (EWST) in support of the MST ICAAP Enterprise Recovery Planetc.:
    • Assistin the development of stress scenarios fortheEWST.
    • Coordinate and support the development and quantification of results.
    • Maintainingand improvingthecredit risk stress testing process.
    • Developingandmaintainingreporting tools for stress testing processesinsupportofTRCOs mandate.
    • Assistinginpreparingthe ICAAP submission package totheOffice of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions(OSFI).
    • Assistingin implementing planned enhancements to the ICAAP including incorporation of new methodologies/models and coverage of new risk types in the ICAAP target setting process.
    • Assistingin completing a full refresh and ongoing updates of the Enterprise Recovery Plan which includes updating existing sections drafting reports developing tools to analyze and recommend improvements for stress scenarios stress test results recoveryactionsand the overall process.
    • Updatingcommitteereportsona timelybasisasrequired.

Lets Talk About You!

    • Post-secondary degree in FinanceEconomicsMathematics Statistics.
    • A professional designation in Finance Accountingor Risk management is preferred.
    • A minimum of 3 years of experience working in a Financial Institution with knowledge ofcredit risk stress testingisrequired.
    • Strong technical skills withdemonstratedhands-on experience in programing languages such as Python and SQL along withproficiencyin database management and data visualization tools such as Power BI to effectively analyze and present data insights.
    • Sufficient knowledge to champion AIapplications in the team.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills along with a collaborative mindset and superb interpersonal skills.
    • Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
    • Familiarity with balance sheet management concepts including Funds Transfer Pricing Hedge Accounting ALM and Liquidity.
