Ready to lead a high-performing team and make a real impact As a Team Leader Accident Benefits (AB) Adjuster youll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of claims handling at Gore Mutual. This role will guide a talented group of adjusters and assistants ensure operational excellence compliance with regulatory requirements and foster a culture of coaching and development. The Team Leader provides approval for reserves and payments within their authority and manages escalations in line with our dispute resolution process.
What you will do:
Create and maintain a team environment that supports high performance and professional growth for your team.
Review productivity metrics regularly and support training and skills development initiatives to drive strong outcomes.
Ensure all claims handling adheres to Ontarios SABS regulations Insurance Act requirements and prescribed timelines for decisions and responses.
Review claim files and audits to maintain accuracy consistency and quality standards in benefit determinations and documentation.
Manage workflow caseload distribution and team productivity to meet service level agreements and key performance indicators.
Handle escalated claims disputed benefits and technical coverage issues
Help design support and roll out various AB and claims initiatives.
Hands on development of smaller AB specific projects and act as SMEs for larger AB initiatives
Support AB Team Engagement for AB through effective team building activities process enhancements and change management considerations.
What you will need to succeed:
10 years of AB Claims Handling Experience including some experience with LAT Handling and CAT Loss and Litigation Management for AB is strongly preferred
1 Years of previous leadership or formal mentor experience is preferred
Post secondary degree or equivalent relevant job experience is required
Effective written and spoken communication skills
Dispute and Litigation Management for AB Ontario and expert understanding of SABS is strongly preferred
Patience understanding strong decision making advance dispute resolution and good judgement skills are required
The desire and ability to support motivate teach and help your team will be essential.
Please note that this role operates in a hybrid environment with two days a week expected in our Cambridge Ontario office.
The expected base salary range for this position is $81000 - $131000. Depending on your relevant experience skills qualifications market conditions and business needs base compensation may vary. You have the potential to earn more through Gore Mutuals discretionary bonus program which gives you an opportunity to increase your total compensation provided the business meets its performance targets and you meet your individual goals.
