Drywall Project Manager

Location:Boston MA
Employment Type:Full-Time

Solid Rock Recruiting is partnered with a well-established commercial drywall contractorin the Boston market that is actively hiring aDrywall Project Managerdue to continued workload and internal growth.

This is animmediate opportunityto join a stable high-performing contractor working across a diverse range of commercial projects.

About the Opportunity

The Project Manager will oversee commercial drywall and metal framing projects from award through closeout. The company has recentlyseparated estimating and project management functions allowing PMs to focus on running projects proactively rather than juggling estimating responsibilities.

Projects typically range fromtenant fit-outs to large-scale commercial and institutional work with PMs managing multiple concurrent jobs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage awarded drywall projects from estimator turnover through completion

  • Prepare and tracksubmittals RFIs and project documentation

  • Establish monitor and controlproject budgets and financials

  • Price and processchange orders and scope changes

  • Coordinate schedules manpower and productivity with field leadership

  • Conduct jobsite visits and work closely with foremen and superintendents

  • Track project progress delays and schedule impacts

  • Maintain strong communication with GCs vendors and internal teams

  • Represent the company professionally throughout the project lifecycle

  • Union commercial drywall and metal framing

  • Healthcare facilities labs and life sciences

  • Colleges and universities

  • Hotels and hospitality renovations

  • Retail restaurant and corporate fit-outs

  • Mid- to high-rise commercial buildings

(No residential wood-frame work)

Qualifications

  • Experience incommercial drywall and metal framingstrongly preferred

  • Union project experience preferred

  • 12 years as an APM or Project Engineer ready to advanceor

  • 35 years of experience as a Project Manager

  • Working knowledge of estimating concepts for change orders and pricing

  • Experience withProcorerequired;OSTor similar tools preferred

  • Strong organizational communication and problem-solving skills
