Job Summary
The Logistics Clerk supports supply chain operations by coordinating domestic and international outbound shipments. This role ensures accurate shipping documentation timely delivery cost efficiency and proper inventory movement from warehouse to customer.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and track domestic and international outbound shipments from start to finish.
- Prepare shipping documents (packing lists Bills of Lading Certificates of Origin NAFTA export documents labels).
- Schedule and monitor prepaid and collect shipments.
- Coordinate with carriers brokers freight forwarders customers and internal teams.
- Verify inventory scanning and shipment accuracy.
- Review shipping routes schedules and costs.
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate records.
- Handle emails phone calls filing and general office support.
- Follow GMPs and Food Safety guidelines.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- 35 years of logistics experience with domestic and international shipping or 12 years of administrative experience in a professional office.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook Excel Word and manufacturing/logistics systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- English required; Spanish a plus.
- Ability to work flexible hours during quarterly inventories.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Typical office setting with moderate noise
- Regularly sits types and communicates; occasional walking climbing stairs to office or lifting.
