The Shipping/Receiving Clerk supports logistics operations by coordinating shipments managing shipping documentation and maintaining accurate records within ERP and Warehouse Management Systems. This role works closely with carriers drivers customer service and warehouse teams to ensure timely compliant and efficient shipment processing.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Serve as the primary point of contact for carriers and drivers including gate coordination and documentation
Schedule inbound and outbound shipments and coordinate truck appointments
Prepare and review shipping documentation including Bills of Lading (BOLs) and Certificates of Analysis (COAs)
Verify order accuracy using pick sheets and FIFO inventory practices
Use ERP/WMS systems to process shipping transactions and maintain accurate shipment records
Generate shipping reports track shipments and communicate status updates to internal stakeholders
Monitor inventory of shipping supplies and communicate replenishment needs to leadership
Audit shipping transactions and documentation to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance
Collaborate with customer service operations and carriers to resolve shipping issues and improve efficiency
Follow company safety food safety environmental and GMP policies and support additional site needs as required
Willingness and ability to work required overtime
Qualifications :
Qualifications
Education: Minimum of high school diploma or GED required.
Related Experience: 13 years of experience in shipping logistics warehouse coordination or administrative support within a distribution manufacturing or industrial environment preferred. Experience with shipment documentation carrier coordination or inventory systems is a plus.
Equipment/Software Skills: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel Outlook Word). Experience with ERP or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and shipping software (e.g. UPS WorldShip or similar platforms) preferred.

Additional information
Physical: Must be able to walk throughout the plant to include walking and climbing up/downstairs. Must have be ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally is required and must be able to wear a respirator required.
Sensory: Must have the appropriate level of sensory acuity (visual hearing speaking smell and touch) to be able to identify and react to normal abnormal and alarm conditions (chemicals temperature etc.)
Mental/Reasoning: Must be able to analyze information quickly to provide feedback in the manufacturing process and troubleshoot equipment failures.
