Crane Operator / Material Handler (Scrap Recycling)

Madden Industrial Craftsmen a premier staffing agency is looking to fill a Crane Operator / Material Handler position with a scrap recycling facility located in the Phoenix area. This role has the potential to become a long-term full-time opportunity for the right candidate.

Job Responsibilities

Operate mobile and stationary shear cranes in a scrap recycling environment
Safely operate CAT Material Handlers Liebherr and Sierra equipment
Load unload sort and move scrap materials efficiently and safely
Perform daily equipment inspections and basic preventative maintenance
Maintain a safe clean and organized work area
Follow all company safety policies and procedures
Communicate effectively with yard personnel and supervisors to support production goals

Requirements

5 years of crane or heavy equipment operating experience preferred
Experience operating material handlers or shear equipment in a recycling scrap or industrial environment
Strong understanding of jobsite safety and equipment operation
Ability to work long shifts and in outdoor conditions
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
