Are you experienced in performing a number of complex stand-alone time-sensitive financial duties that affect other programs and staff
With your experienceyou will assist in monitoring and troubleshooting of agency accounting and budgeting exception reports and fiscal status reports to assure accuracy of expenditure revenue and general ledger accounting.
We are seeking a candidateto coordinate troubleshoot and assist other Fiscal Office staff to ensure appropriate training and development is received to conduct and complete assigned fiscal duties.
WHAT TO EXPECT -
Among the varied range of responsibilities held within this role this position:
Lead Worker.
Fiscal Year-end Close and OFM exception reporting.
Research and Reporting of Financial Data.
Fiscal Office Liaison for coordination of state lease purchase program belated claims approvals One Washington SSO Project and IT costs.
Working Conditions:
Work setting: Position has a requirement of 60% in-person with a possibility of an allowance of 40% telework as determined after the initial training period is complete. Position is in an office setting with typical office hazards that include sitting for long periods at a time at a desk working on a computer and performing repetitive tasks. Other office hazards include working under fluorescent light repetitively entering data into computer looking at computer monitor for long periods of time sitting or standing for long periods of time.
Schedule: Typically Monday Friday 8:00 AM 5:00 PM but may be required to occasionally work more than 40 hours per week or on weekends to meet deadlines during peak periods. During the months of July and August while the biennial/fiscal closeout processes are in progress very limited leave approved.
Travel requirements: Some travel may be required throughout the State to attend training meetings and conferences.
Customer Interactions: Interacts mainly with General Accounting Payroll Fiscal Office Leadership FSP Management and Internal Auditor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Qualifications:
Option 1:
Bachelors degree in business public administration accounting economics statistics or relevant field.
And
Two (2) years of professional experience in accounting budget finance payroll or public administration.
Option 2:
One (1) year as a Fiscal Analyst 3.
Option 3:
Equivalent experience which is equal to five (5) or more years of professional experience in accounting budget finance payroll or public administration.
Preferred Qualifications:
