EPMS Manager (Electrical Power Monitoring Systems) - Charlotte NC
Position Summary
A reputable established organization in the critical technologies and electrical services space supports complex projects for commercial industrial and mission-critical facilities. This EPMS Manager position is part of a growth-oriented team known for high standards in safety quality and delivery.
As the EPMS Manager you will lead the delivery of Electrical Power Monitoring Systems from design through installation testing and commissioning. The EPMS Manager sets the technical direction strengthens team execution and helps standardize processes so projects are delivered safely accurately and consistently.
Key Responsibilities
The EPMS Manager will:
- Lead coach and develop engineers technicians and installation team members to build a reliable high-performing group

Plan staffing balance workloads and assign resources across engineering and field work to hit delivery targets

Oversee EPMS projects end-to-end from system design through installation testing commissioning and turnover

Review and approve designs wiring diagrams panel layouts device configurations and commissioning plans
-
Drive troubleshooting root-cause analysis and performance diagnostics for complex technical issues
-
Enforce safety practices and ensure compliance with applicable electrical and safety standards (including NEC IEEE NFPA UL)

Build consistency by creating procedures templates documentation standards and training materials
- Partner with project management operations sales and vendors to support scope schedules and technical reviews
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Electrical Technology Automation or equivalent hands-on experience

5 years of experience with EPMS power monitoring or electrical controls systems

Leadership or supervisory experience (the EPMS Manager must be comfortable guiding technical and/or field teams)

Strong understanding of electrical power systems metering and power monitoring architectures

Experience reviewing technical designs and supporting commissioning or field execution
-
Proven ability to troubleshoot complex systems and support system integration work

Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to coordinate across teams
Preferred Qualifications -
Experience supporting commercial industrial or mission-critical facilities

Familiarity with EPMS platforms metering systems and networked control environments

Commissioning experience in live or operational facilities
-
Understanding of OT networking and cybersecurity considerations in connected environments
-
PMP or similar technical certifications; prior EPMS Manager experience in fast-moving environments is a plus
