Job Summary
Rupert Nock Middle SchoolInstructional AssistantPosition Description & Goals:To assist teachers in providing an innovative high quality education program designed to meet the needs of the children in the IDC Classroom. Instructional Assistants will work with school staff to create an educational environment in which quality and continuity are key factors in educating the : Plans regularly with the Classroom Teacher to support direct instruction to children individually in small groups and in classroom assistance with classroom the collection of data for student academic social emotional and behavioral the Classroom Teacher in establishing effective classroom routines and support to students and teachers during specialty content classes (Art Music PE etc.).Monitors students during lunch and recess blocks for the purpose of maintaining safety and individual and classroom behavior using Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports in alignment with school-wide core values. Assist in the organization of the classroom environment and preparation of class materials to maximize student learning. Assists in classroomServe as a Substitute Teacher in the absence of the Classroom Teacher as needed.
