Cottage Grove High School Assistant Track & Field Coach

Cottage Grove High School is seeking applicants for an assistant track & field coach for the upcoming track & field season. This position supports CGHS students in achieving success both athletically and academically.

Responsibilities

Work collaboratively with all levels of Cottage Grove Track & Field.
Willingness to serve as an assistant coach in assigned event areas based on program needs.
Effectively teach and develop fundamental track & field skills techniques and strategies.
Plan organize conduct and evaluate practice sessions.
Assist in the development and implementation of training plans and event-specific instruction.
Serve as a leader mentor and role model for student-athletes.
Collaborate with the full coaching staff to build a cohesive and competitive program.
Attend all practices meets team meetings and program events.

Qualifications

Qualified applicants should have a general knowledge of track & field fundamentals training principles and event rules. Candidates must demonstrate a willingness to contribute wherever needed within the program and be open to coaching assigned event areas based on program needs.

Compensation

Compensation is provided through a coaching stipend and is determined based on available funding.
