JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS
The Eberly College of Science is seeking applicants for a part-time Student Videographer position. This role supports visual content creation for the Office of Diversity and Inclusion in collaboration with the Communications Office with a focus on documenting events initiatives and academic community engagement.
Capture video content for college-sponsored events programs meetings and initiatives
Edit video content for use on websites social media platforms and internal communications
Collaborate with staff to plan develop and execute video projects aligned with college and University messaging
Ensure video content adheres to Penn State branding and accessibility standards
Manage organize and archive digital media assets
Provide basic photography support as assigned
Attend meetings and communicate project status and timelines
Must be a currently enrolled Penn State student in good academic standing
Demonstrated experience with video recording and editing software (e.g. Adobe Premiere Pro Final Cut Pro or similar)
Knowledge of basic video production techniques including lighting audio and framing
Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a professional office environment
Effective written and verbal communication skills
NOTE: This position does not require certifications per the Compensation and Classification guidelines.
Approximately 815 hours per week
Flexible scheduling based on academic commitments
Occasional evening hours may be required to support events
The starting rate for this position is $15.00 per hour.
