Job Summary
Our client a leading engineering and power solutions firm is looking for a skilled Head of Operations and Maintenance to lead their team in Lagos Nigeria. The role will oversee the operation and maintenance of gas and diesel generators focusing on engines including Jenbacher MWM Caterpillar Perkins Volvo and Cummins.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all O&M activities including issuing work orders developing and following preventive maintenance schedules and ensuring timely maintenance execution.
Ensure that quality management safety and environmental standards are strictly adhered to promoting a safe and compliant workplace.
Identify training needs execute training programs and manage sub-teams assigning tasks and responsibilities accordingly.
Supervise site installations ensuring projects are executed on time and within budget and oversee on-site work.
Liaise with foreign suppliers and OEMs for specifications orders and to maintain the minimum required emergency stock in inventory.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in operations and maintenance management in the power generation sector.
Technical expertise with Jenbacher MWM Caterpillar Perkins Volvo and Cummins engines.
Strong organizational leadership and communication skills.
