Clinical Implementation & QA Virtual Assistant

Virtual Rockstar is hiring a full-time Clinical Implementation & QA Virtual Assistant on behalf of our client a healthcare technology company that develops a specialized EHR platform used by clinical teams. This role is ideal for someone with a strong clinical background who understands medical terminology clinical workflows and EMR systemsand can apply that knowledge to software implementation customization and quality assurance.

This is a nurse-adjacent role (not patient-facing) that requires real clinical judgment. You will help ensure that clinical modules lab integrations and customized workflows are built correctly function as intended and make sense from a clinicians perspective.

Role Overview

This position supports clinical content development client-specific implementations and quality assurance within the EHR. You will work closely with internal teams to translate client requirements into functional system configurations and validate that new features workflows and integrations behave correctly in real clinical scenarios.

You are not expected to codebut you must understand clinical logic well enough to validate it.

Responsibilities

Clinical Implementation & Customization

• Support client implementations by helping build and configure clinical workflows within the EHR.
  

• Translate client requests into system-ready configurations (e.g. lab panels clinical modules documentation flows).
  

• Assist with loading and configuring customized clinical content so end users do not have to manually recreate complex or uncommon workflows.
  

• Validate that configurations align with real-world clinical use cases.
  

Clinical Content & Module Development

• Assist with building clinical content inside the EHR ensuring accuracy and relevance.
  

• Review clinical modules from a domain-expert perspective to confirm they reflect appropriate medical logic terminology and workflow sequencing.
  

• Identify gaps or inconsistencies that may not be obvious to non-clinical team members.
  

Quality Assurance (Clinical-Focused QA)

• Perform QA testing on clinical features and integrations prior to release.
  

• Validate end-to-end workflows such as:
  

• Lab order transmission to external labs (e.g. LabCorp)
  

• Receipt and mapping of lab results back into the correct patient chart
  

• Confirmation that all expected results are returned formatted correctly and clinically complete
  

• Confirm that data integrity patient matching and clinical accuracy are maintained throughout the process.
  

• Document findings clearly and flag issues that require fixes or clarification.
  

Lab & Integration Validation

• Review lab interfaces and integrations from a clinical perspective.
  

• Confirm that predefined lab panels (which may differ by laboratory vendor) are correctly loaded and function as intended.
  

• Ensure uncommon or specialized lab panels are represented accurately so clinicians can order efficiently without repetitive manual selection.
  

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with implementation product and technical teams to provide clinical context and validation.
  

• Ask the does this make sense clinically questions during build and testing phases.
  

• Provide feedback that improves usability accuracy and clinician trust in the system.
  

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience or formal clinical training (RN LPN MA or similar clinical background strongly preferred).
  

• Strong understanding of medical terminology clinical workflows and documentation standards.
  

• Hands-on experience with EMR/EHR systems and an understanding of how clinical data is structured.
  

• Ability to reason through clinical scenarios and determine whether a system output is correct or incomplete.
  

• Comfortable reviewing lab orders and results and understanding what should be present in a complete result set.
  

• Highly detail-oriented with strong critical thinking skills.
  

• Able to communicate clearly with both clinical and non-clinical team members.
  

Preferred (But Not Required)

• Experience working with EHR implementations healthcare software or health tech startups.
  

• Familiarity with lab workflows interfaces or lab result interpretation (not diagnosticworkflow-level understanding).
  

• Experience supporting QA or testing processes in a clinical or technical environment.
