Position Summary: The Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) provides physical therapy services to residents under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist (PT). The PTA plays a critical role in helping residents improve mobility strength balance and overall functional independence while delivering compassionate patient-centered care. This position supports Campbell Streets mission of Developing Exceptional People Who Drive Extraordinary Care.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties

  • Deliver physical therapy treatments as outlined in the residents plan of care and directed by the supervising Physical Therapist
  • Assist residents with therapeutic exercises gait training transfer training balance activities and mobility programs
  • Monitor resident responses to treatment and report progress concerns or changes in condition to the Physical Therapist
  • Accurately document treatment sessions resident progress and outcomes in accordance with facility and regulatory standards
  • Educate residents and caregivers on exercises safety techniques and proper use of adaptive equipment
  • Maintain a safe clean and organized therapy environment
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to support resident-centered goals
  • Adhere to all federal state and facility policies procedures and ethical standards
  • Participate in team meetings training and ongoing professional development
  • Demonstrate Campbell Streets SMART Values in all interactions

Qualifications

Qualifications

Required:

  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program
  • Current Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license in the applicable state
  • Ability to work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
  • Compliance with all applicable state and federal healthcare regulations

Preferred:

  • Experience in skilled nursing long-term care or rehabilitation settings
  • Experience working with geriatric or medically complex populations
  • New graduates are encouraged to applytraining and mentorship provided
