Synergie is seekinga Land Management/Conservation Worker at Adelaide region SA ( Edwardstown head office locationaround Adelaide).

Our Client is a leading environmental organisation committed to restoring and conserving Australias diverse landscapes. They work collaboratively with Traditional Owners landholders communities and partners to deliver large-scale science-based conservation outcomes that benefit biodiversity climate resilience and people.

Pay Rate: $32.31/hr and the potential progression to a higher rate for candidates with supervisor experience.

Role Overview

The Land Management / Conservation Worker supports on-ground environmental restoration and land management activities across a range of projects. This hands-on role involves physical outdoor work operating tools and equipment and working safely as part of a team in varied environments.

Key Responsibilities

Undertake on-ground conservation and land management activities including:
- Revegetation and planting
- Weed control (manual and chemical)
- Seed collection and site preparation
- Erosion control and habitat restoration
Operate and maintain hand tools small machinery and equipment safely
Drive manual vehicles to access worksites and transport equipment and materials
Follow work plans safety procedures and environmental guidelines
Accurately record field data and complete basic reporting as required
Work collaboratively with team members contractors and project partners
Maintain a high standard of workplace health and safety

Essential Requirements

Current manual (non-automatic) Australian drivers licence
Ability to undertake physically demanding outdoor work in varied weather conditions
Willingness to work in regional and remote locations as required
Strong commitment to environmental conservation and sustainability
Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team
Good communication skills and a positive practical attitude
Understanding of or willingness to learn safe work practices in the field
