Integrated (Special Education) Preschool Teacher

Position Title: Integrated (Special Education) Preschool TeacherQuaboag Regional Integrated PreschoolReports to: Building Principal & Director of Student Support ServicesPrimary Function: To assume all responsibilities as an Integrated Preschool TeacherFunded by: General Funds Special EducationQualifications: Valid MA DESE Licensures:Early Childhood Education (PK-2) ANDTeacher of Students with Moderate Disabilities (PK-8)Responsibilities: Collaborate with grade-level teacher to align curriculum and create/planinstructional materials Knowledgeable about developmentally appropriate expectations for students withindividualized plans and align with MA standards Provide direct instruction in areas identified on student-specific educational plansincluding academic skills social skills related adaptive functioning andcurriculum access Collect and assess through ongoing progress monitoring Monitor the effectiveness of instructional techniques and adjust instruction tomaximize student understanding of content and address student learning goalsidentified on the IEP and in the preschool curriculum Establish coordinated systems with Paraprofessionals to ensure instructionmodifications and accommodations are implemented Develop and implement student schedules Maintain accurate and complete student records and prepare reports on students Actively participate in meetings to collaboratively develop IndividualizedEducation Programs (IEPs) designed to promote students development Adapt activities to meet the diverse needs of an integrated preschool population Work collaboratively with grade-level peers Early Childhood CoordinatorSpecialists and paraprofessionals Conduct educational assessments write reports monitor student progress andpresent results at Team Meetings Maintain alignment with state and federal regulations and timelines Establish parent/guardian relationships and collaborate with outside providers asneeded Perform other related work as determined by the Director of Student Support Services/ Building PrincipalSalary: As per the contract between the Quaboag Regional School Committee and the Quaboag Education AssociationClosing Date for Applications: Until FilledStart Date: ImmediatelyApply to: Dr. Kirsten Esposito Director of Student Support ServicesQuaboag Regional School DistrictP.O.
