About the position

The Tank Contract Draftsperson undertake both Tank and Structural Drafting to ensure timely completion compliance with customer requirements relevant standards together with efficiency in the use of company resources and working within budgeted hours.

Key responsibilities:

The key responsibility of theTank Contract Draftsperson is to provide detail drafting and document management support to the engineering department for any given project.

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Detail drafting of job-related drawings for workshop manufacture.
Design and drafting of concept and front-end engineering design.
Compiling job-related documents including BOMs DXF plate cutting files TQs and assembly procedures.
Provide technical support to the Workshop as required.
Maintenance and ongoing development of Brockmans library of engineering drawings and technical information in relation to Brockman standard products.
Investigation measurement and hand sketches to obtain necessary data for use in development of drawings.
Checking of own-drawings others-drawings and client-drawings.

To best support your growth and ours were looking for candidates who possess:

Excellent computer skills including 2D and 3D ACAD (AutoCAD and Inventor preferred) and proficiency with Word Outlook and Excel.
The ability to work collaboratively as part of an engineering/design team.
An appreciation of engineering workshop practice including welding steel fabrication machining and mechanical assembly.
Knowledge of local standards for steel fabrication & supply of components and ability to nominate correct materials & components in drawing BOMs.
High attention to detail and quality of work.
Good layout and graphical skills.
Technical Drafting Certificate / Diploma or equivalent.

This position will require a current National Police Check (no more than 6 months old) a current drivers licence and evidence of right to work in Australia.
