We have an exciting opportunity for a Regional Stores Officer to join our team in Goulburn.

The Regional Stores Officer is responsible for daytoday stores operations and the safe secure handling of materials within the regional stores environment. The Officer is responsible for supporting the Inventory and Logistics team and the Operations Supervisor to achieve a common goal of successfully delivering on the W&D objectives and targets. The role is responsible for ensuring that standard procedures and work practices are implemented with the goal of delivering on value and service to the business.

This position requires the application of standard stores procedures stock management practices and effective communication with internal stakeholders to support the delivery of operational programs. You will ensure materials movement is efficient accurate and completed in line with safety and compliance requirements.

A strong understanding of warehousing stock control and safe equipment operation is essential along with experience supporting process improvements managing space utilisation and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake standard store operating procedures ensuring efficient and accurate movement of materials.
  • Maximise space utilisation within regional stores and ensure plant and equipment are effectively used.
  • Inspect receipt and load incoming materials into appropriate storage areas ensuring protection against loss or damage.
  • Work with the Materials Manager to support process improvement strategies and implement bestpractice procedures.
  • Conduct stock counts on designated highvalue items in line with scheduled requirements.
  • Provide emergency service support to ensure urgent materials needs are met quickly and safely.
  • Monitor inventory levels across Tier 2 and Tier 3 stores to prevent overstocking and manage project materials.
  • Complete Workplace Environment Facilities (WEF) and Safety Audits and action any nonconformances.
  • Engage with depot management to maintain strong customer service and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Operate forklifts hoists vehicles and mobile plant safely and efficiently.
  • Demonstrate behaviours that promote respect equity diversity and inclusion in accordance with the Code of Conduct.

About You

  • Experience in stores operations within a large organisation.
  • Demonstrated competency in handling storing and moving materials using forklifts and other relevant equipment.
  • Experience in stock management including unloading inspecting receipting storing and loading materials.
  • Proven ability to conduct stock checks and maintain accurate records.
  • Understanding of business practices to minimise waste and reduce cost within warehousing environments.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to undertake physical warehousing duties safely and effectively.
  • A flexible team player who can manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Computer literacy and experience using business systems relevant to stores operations.

Required Qualifications

  • Certificate III in Warehousing Operations or demonstrated equivalent capability.
  • Current Driver Licence.
  • Current Forklift Licence.

Desirable

  • Heavy Rigid (HR) Truck Licence.
