The Air Traffic Solutions Systems Engineering Department is seeking systems engineering interns in Orange County California area. Our unique portfolio of automation surveillance navigation and landing solutions is improving safety and efficiency across more than two-thirds of the worlds air space.

What You Will Do:

In this intern role you will have opportunities to learn and support the design development testing and monitoring of a Satellite Based Augmentation System for navigation. You will support basic systems engineering development on a multi-discipline team. Responsibilities may include the following areas:

• System integration and testing support

• Support System Test automation and scripting

• System performance monitoring analysis and anomaly investigation support.

• System process procedure documentation.

• Correcting and updating technical documents.

• System requirement review and design review support.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelors or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.

• U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizensare authorized to access information under thisprogram/contract

Preferred Qualifications:

• General working knowledge of AIX Linux and Windows operating systems.

• Experience with and/or course work in Global Positioning System (GPS).

• Perl C/C/C# Matlab Python.

• Academic projects and examples of innovation of new and emerging technologies.

• Course work and examples of Technical Writing skills.

• Fundamental engineering skills.

• Effective communication skills both oral and written as well as thorough knowledge of all Microsoft Office products (Word Excel Outlook and PowerPoint.)

The salary range for this role is 42000 USD - 88000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
