We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Corporate Governance Operations Manager to join our Governance Directorate. This is a pivotal role designed to bridge the gap between strategy and delivery ensuring our Information Governance (IG) Legal Services and Corporate Governance teams operate as a high-performing unified service.
The Role
As the Corporate Governance Operations Manager you will be the engine room of the directorate. You will provide senior operational leadership driving cross-functional projects that improve efficiency and ensure we meet the highest standards of regulatory compliance.
This isnt just a business as usual role. You will lead service redesigns map complex processes and provide specialist advice to clinical and operational teams helping the Trust reach the gold standard of governance.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Project Leadership: Lead the delivery of the Annual Report manage NHS Resolution data analysis and coordinate integrated projects across IG and Legal Services.
- Operational Excellence: Standardize workflows and Operating Procedures (SOPs) across the directorate to ensure consistent high-quality outputs for Board and Committee reporting.
- Compliance & Risk: Support CQC Well-Led submissions manage the Board Assurance Framework (BAF) and ensure internal controls are robust enough to withstand external scrutiny.
- Directorate Integration: Work directly with the Group Director of Corporate Governance to break down silos fostering a culture of transparency accountability and continuous improvement.
- Specialist Advisory: Act as a central point of contact for governance queries providing coaching and mentoring to staff to build capability across the organization.
The salary for this role is Agenda for Change (AfC) Band 7
Qualifications :
We are looking for a candidate who is both a thinker and a doer. You should have:
- Extensive Governance Knowledge: A deep understanding of corporate governance frameworks risk management and statutory requirements within a complex organization (NHS experience preferred).
- Analytical Rigor: The ability to analyse complex data (such as legal claims or risk trends) and turn it into actionable insights.
- Exceptional Communication: The confidence to advise Executive strategic risk owners and the ability to influence staff at all levels.
- A Change Mindset: Experience in process mapping service redesign and leading improvement programmes.
