About the role

As the Hardware Engineering Team Lead you will provide technical leadership and people management to a team of engineers enabling both the care and development of team members while ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality engineering artefacts.

Working with a high degree of autonomy you will apply established engineering processes tools and resources to successfully deliver a defined scope of engineering activities across the product and program lifecycle.

You will plan monitor and deliver team activities to meet cost schedule and quality requirements while producing and reviewing technical documentation in accordance with applicable Delegations of Authority (DoA).

You will also play a key role in driving continuous improvement supporting multi-domain engineering decisions and contributing to sustainable and innovative engineering solutions.



About you

You are an experienced hardware engineer you bring a strong understanding of design analysis manufacturing and support techniques within your discipline along with an awareness of interfacing technologies.

Proven technical judgement underpins your ability to lead investigations conduct single-domain risk assessments and ensure product safety obligations are met throughout the engineering lifecycle.

You have confidence in producing reviewing and maintaining accurate technical documentation is matched by a sound understanding of applicable procedures codes and standards.

A collaborative mindset your curiosity for emerging technologies and a focus on continuous improvement enable meaningful enhancements to engineering processes quality and delivery outcomes strengthening Babcocks capability for the future.

Your Role

To be successful in this position you will bring:

• Approximately 5 years relevant experience in relatable technical/engineering roles.
• A good understanding of applicable engineering toolsets (e.g. PLM or MRP systems design simulation and analysis software).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong computer skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team to achieve desired results.
