Job Summary

You Are:

Seeking a Lead Guidewire Developer to join our team working on a client project for one of the largest financial institutions in Canada. The project is part of a multi-year journey to modernize core insurance systems and enhance digital capabilities to better serve customers.

The opportunity:

Hybrid: In office/remote

Provide hands-on leadership in the development and customization of Guidewire PolicyCenter ClaimCenter and BillingCenter.

Guide the team in translating business requirements into scalable high-quality technical solutions.

Lead integration efforts with core banking systems document management platforms analytics tools and third-party data sources.

Champion development best practices conduct code reviews and mentor team members. Partner with QA teams to ensure automated testing and quality control standards are met.

Work in Agile delivery teams to plan prioritize and execute on product backlog items.

Contribute to the continuous improvement of our delivery practices tools and technologies.

This position description identifies the responsibilities and tasks typically associated with the performance of the position. Other relevant essential functions may be required.

What you need:

Must Have: 6-8 years years of Guidewire development experience (at least two of PolicyCenter ClaimCenter BillingCenter).

2 years Lead Guider wire integration expereince .

Proficiency in Gosu Java XML and Guidewire configuration (PCF Data Model Rules).

Proven leadership experience in an Agile/Scrum environment.

Strong integration skills with REST/SOAP APIs middleware (e.g. MuleSoft) and messaging platforms (Kafka JMS).

Solid understanding of P&C insurance processes and systems.

Nice to Have: Experience with Azure or AWS CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins Azure DevOps) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).

Familiarity with automated testing frameworks (GUnit Selenium) and performance testing tools.

Knowledge of Canadian insurance regulations and compliance requirements.
