DescriptionWe are seeking a Mechanical Engineering intern to assist in digitizing legacy tooling and die drawings. This role is ideal for students pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) who have a strong interest in CAD systems and manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities
Convert paper-based tooling and die drawings into digital CAD files for long-term storage and backup.
Ensure accuracy and consistency when transferring data from physical diagrams to CAD workflow.
Organize and maintain digital files within the companys CAD system.
Collaborate with engineering and tooling teams to clarify specifications as needed.
Qualifications
Currently enrolled in a BSME program.
Familiarity with CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks AutoCAD or similar).
Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret technical drawings.
Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and tooling preferred.
Learning Opportunities
Hands-on experience with CAD workflows in a professional setting.
Exposure to tooling and die design fundamentals.
Insight into digital archiving and engineering documentation processes.
