Day Services Manager

The Day Services Manager willfacilitatecommunity-based day services and support the development of innovative community development services for people with disabilities in an assigned region or location. The Day Services Manager willmanageand coach assigned Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) ensuring that services are designed to be person-centered with individualized schedules for each person. The Day Services Manager will work cooperatively with the Workforce Development and Living Options & Services teams to ensure seamless services andsupports. This position is a member of the Leadership Council.

The ideal candidate brings experience working and supporting people with disabilities with experiencefacilitatingservices for people based in the community and in the development of community-based activities and other collaborative MS Word Excel Outlook and other technology tools such as iPads isrequired. Theydemonstratethe ability to exercise initiative think creatively in the improvement of processes and drive results and exercise good judgment in sensitive situations. They must work well under pressure in an ever-changing environment with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse personalities and employee populations. Strong oral and written communications and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage positive communication indifficult situationsand the ability to provide candid/constructive feedback are critical for success in this role.

This position requires fiveyearsworking and supporting people with disabilities with at least twoyearsfacilitatingservices for people based in the community. A high school diploma isrequired; a bachelors degree is strongly preferred. A valid Maryland Drivers License with no egregious violations isrequired.
