Job Summary
An inclusive and ambitious primary school in Barking is looking to appoint a skilled Year 6 Teacher to join their dedicated KS2 team. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a school that values consistency pupil progress and staff wellbeing.
The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching that supports pupils academically while also developing confidence independence and readiness for secondary school.
Responsibilities include:
Planning and delivering the Year 6 curriculum
Supporting pupils through SATs preparation
Monitoring progress and providing targeted intervention
Establishing clear routines and expectations
Working collaboratively with colleagues and families
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification
Strong knowledge of the KS2 national curriculum
Effective classroom organisation
Clear communication skills
Commitment to inclusive practice
