The successful candidate will teach Music across Key Stages 3 and 4 and may also have the opportunity to teach Key Stage 5 delivering lessons that inspire creativity practical skills and an appreciation of music theory and performance.
Key responsibilities include:
Planning and delivering engaging Music lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
Teaching practical and theoretical aspects of music including performance composition and music technology.
Preparing students for GCSE and A-Level examinations in Music.
Assessing and monitoring student progress providing constructive feedback to support improvement.
Differentiating lessons to meet the needs of students with varying abilities and learning styles.
Encouraging student participation in school ensembles choirs bands and concerts.
Supporting school performances competitions and extracurricular music activities.
Maintaining a well-organised safe and stimulating music classroom and practice areas.
Collaborating with colleagues to develop schemes of work resources and departmental initiatives.
Participating in departmental meetings professional development and school-wide initiatives.

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
