About the Role

The successful candidate will teach Mathematics across Key Stages 3 and 4 with the potential to teach Key Stage 5 depending on experience. The school is looking for a teacher who can deliver engaging lessons inspire confidence in mathematics and support students in achieving excellent academic outcomes.

Responsibilities will include:

• Planning and delivering engaging Maths lessons aligned with the national curriculum.

• Teaching Mathematics across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

• Preparing students for GCSE examinations and supporting strong attainment and progress.

• Assessing student work regularly and providing constructive feedback to support improvement.

• Differentiating lessons to meet the needs of students with varying abilities and learning styles.

• Supporting students through targeted intervention and additional learning support where required.

• Encouraging students to develop logical thinking confidence with numbers and problem-solving skills.

• Maintaining a positive and productive classroom environment that promotes active learning.

• Collaborating with colleagues within the Mathematics department to develop teaching resources and share best practice.

• Participating in departmental meetings school initiatives and professional development opportunities.

Candidate Requirements

The school is looking for a teacher who is enthusiastic about Mathematics and committed to helping students reach their full potential.

Applicants should have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

• Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics.

• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.

• A collaborative approach to working within a department.
