Developmental Disabilities Administrator- Incident Management Program Manager

Behavioral Health & Habilitation Administration (BHHA) State Operated Community Residential (SOCR) program is seeking a highly motivated professional to serve as a Developmental Disabilities Administrator. This position is responsible for oversight of implementation of the Incident Management program standard operating procedures quality assurance and compliance with certification required for the State Operated Community Residential program.

In this role you will provide programmatic direction in conjunction with the management team work collaboratively with SOCR programs state wide residential case management staff State Operated Community Residential Compliance Manager and HR to ensure that Incident Management policies and procedures are followed.

This role is temporary (non-permanent) and is anticipated to become permanent upon administration approval.

Some of what youll do:

  • Refer and review investigation for the SOCR program. Coordinate with APS CPS and HR.
  • Contribute to development of statewide practices trainings and best practices
  • Oversee corrective action follow up of any and complaint investigation findings
  • Track and document all incidents per policy
  • Conduct investigations as needed and as assigned by supervisor
  • Responds to inquiries from the public other department administrations
  • Compose professional cogent and grammatically correct correspondences
  • Maintains positive relationships with parents advocates developmental disability vendors and constituency groups and carries out effective public relations for the agency

  • Ability to assess and identify program needs; the ability to develop and deliver impromptu and formal trainings
  • Confidentiality
  • Ability to evaluate crisis and/or complete client issues and staff with appropriate authority to avoid potential liability and/or negative outcomes
  • Ability to solve complex problems with application of limited resources
  • Ability to identify those serious issues which need to be reported to supervisor and chain of command
  • Ability to prepare clear and understandable written and oral reports and correspondence
  • Ability to collect prepare and present data in varies formats for varied audiences
  • Knowledge of RCWs WACs and policy and procedures to ensure program compliance
  • Ability to develop agency procedures
  • Ability to facilitate staff and client meetings

Who should apply
A Bachelors degree in behavioral sciences special education business administration public administration or other related fields
AND Four years of professional experience in the human services field of which:

  • (A) two years involved individuals with developmental disabilities or other handicapping conditions; and
  • (B) one year of supervisory or administrative or professional program service delivery responsibility.

With the exception of (A) and (B) graduate training may be substituted year for year for the required experience.
OR
A combination of professional / education experience of nine years in planning administering developing or delivering social financial health or chemical dependency treatment services programs.
