Job Summary

Shulman Rogers Family Law and Fiduciary Litigation Group is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join our Potomac office. The successful candidate with 5 years of litigation paralegal experience will assume an immediate key role in highly diversified family law and fiduciary litigation matters.

Responsibilities:

Draft basic pleadings discovery requests and responses including obje
Organize maintain and review documents from clients opposing parties and third parties for use in discovery depositions witness preparation and trial.
Trial and deposition preparation including exhibit preparation and other trial materials.
Conduct witness interviews and summarize key information thoroughly for attorney review.
Responsible for electronic filing (MDEC and CaseFileXpress) in Maryland and D.C.

Qualifications:

A bachelors degree paralegal certificate or equivalent experience.
5 years of relevant litigation paralegal experience. Strong knowledge of legal procedures terminology and court rules related to litigation.
Familiarity with Maryland and D.C. rules and procedures and/or ability to proactively learn same.
Excellent verbal written communication skills and interpersonal skills including professionalism when speaking with clients.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and document management software and able to effectively use other litigation software.
Proven legal research skills; proficiency with legal research platforms such as LexisNexis or Westlaw.
