Were seeking a Principal Technical Product Manager with deep robotics engineering expertise to architect and drive transformative automation solutions. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience in robotic systems development including motion planning control systems computer vision and machine learning. You should be able to dive deep into technical discussions about SLAM algorithms inverse kinematics real-time control architectures and sensor fusion while maintaining a strategic product vision. Youll need to understand the intricacies of ROS real-time operating systems and embedded systems development to effectively guide engineering this role youll translate complex technical requirements into executable roadmaps working closely with robotics engineers and scientists to solve challenges in perception manipulation and HRI systems. You must be able to evaluate technical tradeoffs in areas like mechanical design control systems architecture and AI/ML implementation while considering customer value business impact and scalability. Youll lead technical discovery architecture reviews and detailed feasibility analyses while driving product strategy that pushes the boundaries of whats possible in robotic automation at scale. Deep experience with industrial robotic systems real-time control architectures AI/ML systems for robot learning and adaptation and large-scale distributed systems is essential.

Key job responsibilities
- Serve as the Voice of the Customer for the product line throughout its life cycle from initial concept creation to launch and subsequent support of the product.
- Identify new product opportunities by evaluating the business needs and understanding customer pain points and value drivers
- Write business and product requirements documents and ensure clear communication and coordination of requirements to the business design and development teams.
- Participate as a member of the core team during development including research requirements definition metrics analysis implementation testing and launch efforts.
- Work cross-functionally to manage bottlenecks provide escalation management anticipate and make trade-offs balance the business needs versus technical constraints and maximize business benefit while building great customer experiences.
- Measure and analyze existing products for opportunities to innovate and improve providing additional benefits to customers
- Present confidently in a written format to Amazon senior management as well as other large audiences
- Demonstrate deep understanding of the scientific research landscape including research methodologies common challenges in scientific workflows and emerging trends in the scientific community to inform product decisions and effectively address researcher needs

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or other technical degree or related experience
- Experience delivering projects within scope time budget and quality
- Experience working with engineering and product teams to define a product and bring it to market
- 7 years of product management experience
- 6 years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- Experience working on product lines that span both SW and HW

- Experience working directly with Engineers on product enhancements
- Experience in project management methodologies business analysis or process improvement
- Experience delivering technology products or services in a high growth environment
- Experience with AI/ML technologies
- Masters degree or PhD
- Experience with high-volume products such as consumer electronics
- Experience working directly with Scientists and Engineers

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
