Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Bachelor Degree Preferred
Principal Certification a plus
Course work in child development or related area preferred
Special Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Excellent organizational skills
Proficient computer skills
Balance working in a team environment with being self-directed and solitary
Ability to work in a fast pace environment with diverse groups of people during afterschool program hours until all students have been reported by bus drivers as to being delivered home
Experience:
Three to five years of related experience desired
Working with high risk children and their families
Supervising
Knowledge of community resources
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
- Coordinate the Texas ACE Program implementation under the direction of the Texas ACE Project Director
- Work with classroom teachers and campus personnel to coordinate academic services for each student served
- Meet regularly with the Texas ACE Project Director to address program progress issues and future need/direction
- Maintain working knowledge of all Texas ACE Program requirements
- Monitor program activities to ensure high quality services are provided to enrolled students
- Attend all required Texas ACE trainings webinars conference calls and meetings
- Coordinate recruitment and enrollment of student participants and afterschool staff
- Accurate record keeping of attendance and required data as needed
