- Managing corporate tax accounting and compliance across multiple African countries
- Reviewing statutory tax returns including corporate income tax VAT withholding tax and stamp duty
- Overseeing quarterly and annual tax provision calculations for reporting purposes
- Supporting internal control and SOX reporting processes and ensuring strong tax governance
- Liaising with internal finance teams and external tax service providers to resolve tax matters
Job Experience and Skills Required:
- Minimum BCom Degree or equivalent (tax specialization beneficial)
- At least 5 years experience in tax accounting and tax compliance
- Experience working with tax across the African region
- Experience within a multinational group
- Completed articles and/or CA qualification will be considered favourably
- Strong technical knowledge of direct and indirect taxes
- Solid experience with corporate tax VAT withholding tax and related areas
- Ability to work across multiple countries and engage with diverse finance teams
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Independent organized proactive - you get things done without being chased
- Must have proven experience in African tax
- Comfortable working in a complex multinational environment
