Duties & Responsibilities
Manage monthly payroll processes
Capture and process supplier payments
Document financial transactions and maintain accurate financial records
Reconcile debtors creditors general ledger accounts and bank accounts
Complete and submit all statutory and regulatory returns (South Africa & Namibia)
Handle all SARS-related matters
Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports
Perform cash flow forecasting and cash management
Reconcile inter-company loan accounts
Assist with annual budget preparation
Prepare Annual Financial Statements
Maintain and enforce internal controls and manage the asset register
Respond to ad hoc accounting requests and queries
Skills & Attributes
Excellent verbal and written communication
Strong administration and organisational skills
Ability to manage heavy workloads and meet tight deadlines
High accuracy and attention to detail
Proactive mindset with strong initiative
Strong interpersonal skills and a committed team player
Ability to prioritise and selfmanage effectively
Comfortable working in a dynamic and sometimes unstructured environment
Qualifications & Experience
BCom or equivalent qualification (required)
Financial Accounting Honours (advantageous)
Knowledge of VAT and other tax legislation
Knowledge of relevant financial legislation & accounting standards
Proficiency in Xero (required) and SimplePay (advantageous)
Minimum 5 years accounting experience
Advanced computer literacy especially Excel
