At PwC our people in audit and assurance focus on providing independent and objective assessments of financial statements internal controls and other assurable information enhancing the credibility and reliability of this information with a variety of stakeholders. They evaluate compliance with regulations including assessing governance and risk management processes and related controls.In financial statement audit at PwC you will focus on obtaining reasonable assurance about whether the financial statements as a whole are free from material misstatement whether due to fraud or error and to issue an auditors report that includes the auditors opinion.

As a Tax Compliance Manager you willbe responsible fora team of tax consultants that will provide tax compliance services to PwCs clients.
Qualifications / Certifications:
Relevant South African degree / diploma with Taxation as core module
Registered Tax Technician or Tax Professional (SAIT) or registered Chartered Accountant (SA)
Experience required:
Minimum of 6 years experience in tax compliance and tax administration OR minimum of 4 years experience in aPrivatepractice.
Previousmanagement experience of at least 2 years.
Responsibilities of role:
- Management of tax compliance team
- Tax compliance work specifically of companies
- Administration of provisional and final income tax returns and related SARS matters
- Maintenance of tax clients on tax management software and SARSeFiling
- Liaison with SARS clients and staffregardingassessments objections disputes refunds queries registrations
- Following up on outstanding SARS matters
- Meet with SARS on behalf of clients and PwC
- Ensure clients tax compliance affairs are kept up to date
- Approval of International Transfers (AIT) and tax compliance status requests
- Responding to SARS verification queries
- Client and PwC staff consultations
-Comply withinternal risk management procedures
- General administrative tasks
- Attend internal and external training
Skill sets:
- Excellent project management skills
- Management of people delegation skills
- Self starter
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong multi-tasking skills
- Sound computer literacy
- Experience onGreatSoftor similar package
- Sound knowledge of SA Income Tax Act and Tax Administration Act
- Registered tax practitioner or willing to register
- Fluent in English and Afrikaans
- Must be prepared to work overtime
- Valid driverslicenceand own transport
