Financial Controller

Dream is looking for a Financial Controller!

We are looking to hire a Financial Controller to maintain our high quality of reporting and accounting within the European Finance department. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Finance the successful candidate will be expected to understand our operating model complex structures across various European countries and the key drivers affecting external and internal reporting.

What will you do

Below are some of the primary responsibilities you will be taking on in this role. There will be more but we can discuss those in person.

• Responsible for the monthly and quarterly financial close process for corporate accounting
• Analyze quarterly actual vs. budget G&A variances for management reporting
• Assist with the annual G&A budgeting process
• Monitor and manage compliance with external and internal debt agreements
• Prepare and/or review VAT and corporate income tax returns for our European entities
• Support tax-related analysis by maintaining and updating the European tax forecasting model
• Forecast cash flows for our European entities to optimize cash management and intercompany dividend distributions
• Support coordinate and report on treasury activities
• Prepare and/or review the annual financial statements of our European entities
• Identify and implement opportunities for process and system improvements
• Support other departments and ad hoc projects when needed
• Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with the Yardi ERP system is an advantage

• Strong people skills a team player with a proven ability to build relationships at all levels of an organization.
• Strong communication skills demonstrated in written and verbal reports presentations and meeting facilitation.
• Deliver on commitments ability to set clear objectives and deliverable goals.
• Driven and hardworking ability to get things done with minimal supervision.
• Strong systems knowledge - experience with Yardi and strong knowledge of Excel is considered an asset.
