Job Summary

Business Support Specialist

  • $137963 per annum 12% superannuation
  • Full time fixed term to 30/06/2026
  • Wadawurrung/Geelong based role (hybrid work from home 3 days a week in office)

About the opportunity

This role is positioned in the Audit Team within the Agent Performance and Relationships Division (APRD) that leads the management and oversight of individual agent performance and contract compliance. It works collaboratively across the Return to Work Victoria Business Unitto identify and respond to emerging Agent performance issues as they arise.

The Business Support Specialist is expected to work closely within the Audit Team Return to Work VictoriaClaims Managers and their Teams and Agents to deliver all facets of the Agent Audit program including APA audits Schedule G and verification audits.

Key accountabilities:

  • Audit Program
    • Manage specific monthly audit programs as designated within the team
    • As a Subject Matter Expert provide leadership guidance and training as required to staff to ensure compliance requirements are accurately audited with audit results appropriately documented
  • Audit Administration
    • Review audit results to ensure documentation meets required standards ensuring accuracy consistency and appropriateness
    • Coordinate the audit results review process escalating issues with Claims Managers and Subject Matter Experts as required
  • Internal Control Framework
    • Participate in the ongoing cycle of review of the Internal Control Framework and WorkSafe business risks
  • Build and maintain collaborative working relationships with stakeholders monitoring stakeholder satisfaction throughout interaction and providing support and advice to Agents in relation to the application of business rules and compliance requirements and the Internal Control Framework.

About you

You enjoy delivering making an impact and making a difference to the Victorian community that WorkSafe serves. You have experience in workers compensation claims management including claims decision making and your communication and organisational skills are exceptional. You also have the ability to work effectively as part of a team with the capacity to deal with a wide diversity of tasks across a broad team. Your ability to work under limited supervision means you have excellent time management and prioritisation skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines. Further you will also possess:

  • Knowledge of and recent experience in audit and risk management.
  • An advanced level of knowledge and technical expertise in the systems and operational environment governing WorkSafe and Agents
  • Ability to influence internal and external stakeholders and contributing expertise in a professional and collaborative manner to deliver business objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or significant equivalent experience
