Position Summary:
Lakes Region VNA and Hospice is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) to join our team. The LNA will provide essential nursing care and support to patients under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN) or licensed practical nurse (LPN). This role involves assisting with daily living activities monitoring patient health and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing dressing grooming and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs including temperature pulse respiration and blood pressure.
- Provide basic patient care including changing bed linens repositioning patients and assisting with mobility.
- Observe and report any change in patients conditions to the supervising nurse.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding as needed.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities.
- Ensure a clean safe and organized environment for patients.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and safety guidelines.
- Participate in team meetings and ongoing training sessions.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certification: Current and valid LNA certification in NH.
- Experience: Previous experience in a home health care setting is preferred.
- Skills:
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively with staff.
* Excellent organizational and time management skills.
* Knowledge of state and federal home health care regulations.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Must be self-motivated dedicated detail oriented.
*Reliable transportation and a valid drivers license.
