The Engineering Co-op for Cytiva Nanomedicine is responsible for supporting the R&D teams scientific product development and product support goals including design support planning and executing of tests building test jigs and fixtures and design documentation.
This position is part of the Engineering team located onsite in Vancouver BC. Theco-op term will be from May 4 2026 - December 31 2026.
What you will do:
- Design support - including prototyping design of electromechanical subsystems for new commercial instrumentation.
- Create test plans based on product requirements and execute tests to completion including test reporting and identification of future work.
- Develop test fixtures to support test execution.
- Develop software tools to analyze and report data.
Who you are:
- Studying Nanotechnology Engineering Engineering Physics Systems Engineering Mechatronics Biomedical Engineering or any other multi-disciplinary degree.
- Knowledge of mechanical design electrical circuits and circuit design and/or software tools.
- Experience with the design fabrication and testing of prototype instruments.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and critical-thinking abilities.
- Strong organizational interpersonal and time management skills.
It would be a plus if you also have previous experience in:
- Experience with SolidWorks /3D CAD software
The annual salary range for this role is 40k-50k CAD/year This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
