About the Role

The Pricing Analyst sits within the Consumer Insurance area and reports to the Pricing Manager Pricing Queries & this role youll manage pricing queries for Suncorp Insurance brands (Home Motor and Specialist Insurance) provide analytical support for pricing recommendations and assist in operational and long-term pricing initiatives.
You will be a key point of contact for internal stakeholders including contact centres distribution areas portfolio teams and IT ensuring that pricing queries are addressed promptly and effectively.
What youll do
- Manage the pricing queries escalation process and respond within agreed SLAs
- Resolve pricing complaints and provide clear feedback to stakeholders
- Provide analytical support for pricing recommendations and price adjustments
- Assist with operational changes to enable real-time identification of individual risk
- Support address database updates and liaise with internal teams to implement changes
- Prepare regular and ad-hoc pricing reports for business stakeholders
- Maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders across Commercial & Consumer Insurance contact centres and IT
- Contribute to long-term pricing projects and process improvements

What youll bring
Mandatory:
- Tertiary qualification in Business Statistics Mathematics Finance or Actuarial fields
- Minimum 1 year experience in an analytical role preferably in Personal Insurance
Essential skills:
- High-level problem-solving numeracy and analytical skills
- Strong ability to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment
- Excellent communication influencing and stakeholder management skills
Highly desirable:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel Word PowerPoint) and Tableau
- Basic knowledge of programming software/languages (e.g. SAS R Python)
- Understanding of insurance pricing database structures and data warehousing
- Experience with mainframe systems (e.g. Protect)
