We are seeking a Pricing Analyst / Estimator to join our Commercial this role you will play a key part in developing competitive accurate and financially sound proposals for Facilities Management (FM) contracts.
You will be responsible for estimating and pricing Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and Reactive Maintenance (RM) services across both Hard and Soft FM services. Working closely with bid managers operations finance teams and subcontractors you will help ensure pricing strategies align with client requirements operational delivery models and internal commercial objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Estimating & Pricing
- Develop accurate cost models and pricing for new FM bids and contract re-tenders.
- Prepare pricing for Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and Reactive Maintenance (RM) services in line with client requirements.
- Estimate costs across Hard Services (Electrical Mechanical Plumbing etc.) and Soft Services (Cleaning Grounds Gardening etc.).
- Translate tender documentation into clear pricing and financial models.
- Liaise with operational teams and subcontractors to validate costs and obtain competitive pricing.
- Prepare pricing schedules and support tender submissions.
Commercial Support
- Build financial models to assess margin risk and pricing scenarios.
- Analyse historical data and benchmarks to support pricing decisions.
- Provide justification for pricing assumptions during internal reviews.
- Support bid managers with commercial clarifications and negotiations.
Analysis & Reporting
- Conduct pricing analysis to support commercial decision-making.
- Prepare cost breakdowns and present pricing insights to stakeholders.
- Contribute to improving bid management and commercial processes.
Knowledge and Experience
- Degree in Business Finance Engineering or a related discipline.
- 2+ years experience in a pricing estimating commercial analysis or similar role (Facilities Management construction or maintenance services experience advantageous).
- Strong analytical problem-solving and attention-to-detail skills.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills with experience developing pricing and financial models; familiarity with data analytics is beneficial.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Strong facilitation negotiation analytical and documentation skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and workstreams simultaneously.
