Applications are invited for appointment as Lecturer in the Master of Arts in Hong Kong Cultural Studies (MAHKCS) in the School of Chinese (Ref.: 534140) to commence on July 1 2026 on a two-year fixed-term basis with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and availability of funds.
Established in 2025 the MAHKCS is a pioneering postgraduate programme dedicated exclusively to Hong Kong Cultural Studies. It provides an interdisciplinary exploration of the humanities disciplines about Hong Kong including its language literature culture society creative industries cinema and media with academic training on a problem-based approach to understand the citys role in the Greater Bay Area and its connection with China in a global context.
