Minor Hotels is looking for a highly accomplished Regional General Manager - New Zealand to provide executive leadership across our New Zealand portfolio of hotels.
Reporting to the Director of Operations this role holds full accountability for portfolio performance governance brand stewardship owner relationships and long-term value creation. You will set strategic direction oversee financial and operational outcomes and ensure alignment with Minor Hotels global standards while balancing owner expectations and market dynamics.
This appointment requires a proven multi-property leader with strong commercial acumen governance capability and the credibility to operate effectively at board and executive level. You will act as the primary senior representative for the New Zealand portfolio working closely with owners investors boards and corporate stakeholders to protect and enhance asset performance.
Key Accountabilities:
- Overall leadership and governance of the New Zealand portfolio ensuring sustainable financial performance and risk management.
- Strategic oversight of budgeting forecasting capital planning and revenue optimisation across all assets.
- Board-level engagement with owners and investors providing clear reporting insight and recommendations.
- Ensuring consistent brand standards compliance and operational excellence across the region.
- Leadership mentoring and performance management of General Managers and senior leadership teams.
- Identification of growth opportunities operational efficiencies and portfolio-wide improvement initiatives.
- Oversight of regulatory employment health & safety and licensing compliance within New Zealand.
Qualifications :
Eligibility Requirements:
- Eligible to act as a Company Director in New Zealand meeting all residency and legal requirements.
- New Zealand Citizen or New Zealand Permanent Resident.
This role requires a senior leader who can demonstrate:
- Experience in a Regional General Manager Multi-Property Executive or equivalent senior leadership role within hotels or serviced apartments.
- Strong financial commercial and asset-management capability with a track record of portfolio performance delivery.
- Proven ability to operate at board level influencing and partnering with owners investors and executive stakeholders.
- Exceptional leadership presence with the ability to build high-performing executive teams.
- Deep understanding of the New Zealand hospitality market and regulatory environment.
- Tertiary qualifications in Hospitality Business or a related discipline.
